Hello and welcome to the post for today that showcases a pleated DSP panel and some stamping as well. I am working on getting birthday cards replenished and this paper was calling to me while cleaning up my craft room. The colors lend themselves to thinking of brighter weather and a celebration of sorts. I'm using this one as a birthday card but could be used as an encouragement card or maybe even a friendship card. Take a look at the project below and let me know what you think.
.
Supplies:
.
Additional supplies: ATG, Scotch 3M foam tape, Clear blocks, Queen&co Pearl jewels.
1. Create a card base from Blushing Bride card stock to measure 5 ½’ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.
2. Cut a piece of Pool Party card stock to measure 4” x 5 ¼”.
3. Next cut a piece of DSP to measure 3” x 11”. Score at 1 ½”, 2”, 3”,3 ½”, 4 ½”, 5, 6, 6 ½”, 7 ½”, 8, 9 and 9 ½” and mountain/valley fold.
4. Mark 1 ½” at both ends of the DSP panel and then cut from 1 ½” mark down to 5” on the diagonal and then do the same on the other end.
5. Tape the back down with adhesive and adhere to the Pool Party panel. Use the scrap from cutting the DSP panel (reverse side) and adhere over the pleat. Next cut a thin strip of Blushing Bride card stock, pop up with foam tape and adhere above the DSP strip. Adhere the whole Pool Party panel to the card front.
6. Die-cut a scalloped circle from Whisper White card stock. Stamp the floral image by inking the stamp with markers (Basic Black, Watermelon Wonder and Mossy Meadows). Ink up a dauber and swipe on Pool Party ink on the petals. Pop the focal image up on foam tape in the upper left corner.
7. Stamp the sentiment in the upper right corner using Memento Tuxedo black ink and the other part of the sentiment with Watermelon Wonder ink.
8. I added 3 pearl jewels on the card front.
I hope you have enjoyed today's project and will check back often for more inspiration. Thank you for visiting.
