Love You card

Welcome to the blog today and I hope this finds you well. Since the snow is still on the ground and there's no reason for me to be on the road, I have been in my craft room creating and this is the latest Valentine card I have created. I think it can be used for anyone at anytime of the year just to say you Love them. The design is clean and simple with the use of the embossing folder to provide some texture in place of DSP. The gold heat embossing brings the sentiment to the front of the whole design. Take a look at the project below and let me know what you what you think.

Supplies:
.

Additional supplies: ATG, Darice embossing folder, Tim Holtz Idea-ology ChitChat, Recollections Valentine stamp set (#309351 and 309397), powder bag, heat tool

1. Create a card base from Melon Mambo card stock to measure 5 ½” x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼” to make a top-fold card.

2. Cut a slightly smaller piece of Whisper White card stock and run through the Big Shot with the Darice Heart embossing folder.

3. On a scrap of Whisper White card stock, stamp the doily image using Melon Mambo ink. Cut the doily in half twice and put one piece in the top left corner and one in the bottom right corner. Adhere the panel to the card base.

4. Cut a strip of Melon Mambo cardstock the length of the panel layer and a slightly smaller strip of Whisper White card stock. On the White card stock, stamp the sentiment with Versa Mark ink and sprinkle with Gold embossing powder. Heat set and then adhere to the Melon Mambo strip and adhere to the center of the card front.

5. Sprinkle 3 sequins above the sentiment and 3 below.

6. I added the “you” from a Tim Holtz Idea-ology Chit Chat sticker pack on a piece of Melon Mambo card stock and adhered centered on the embossed sentiment .

Finish off the inside of the card with a personal message.

I hope you have enjoyed today's project and will check back often for more inspiration. Thank you for visiting.

Here Comes The Ice Cream Man- layout

Hello and welcome to today's post. I have a layout share that features the Echo Park Playground collection and the Heidi Swapp Project Life kit along with some exclusive alphas from the June Hip Kit. This layout was hard to put together for the challenge over at Sketches in Thyme (#205) but loved the collection I chose for the photos I was using. I had taken my son over to the mall to go to the indoor playground and while waiting for it to open he spotted the powered ice cream truck that made noise. Of course Michael just had to ride and he looks like he's really enjoying it. Take a look at the project below and let me know what you think. . Supplies used: Echo Park Playground collection, June (main) Hip Kit alphas, Heidi Swapp Project Life kit (the stars), Cherry on Top DSP (SU), Summer Starfruit cardstock for the background(SU), ATG tape runner and Mini glue dots. I hope you have enjoyed today's project and will check back often for more inspiration. Tha...
