Happy Thanksgiving- card

Hello and welcome to today's post. I have a water-colored Thanksgiving card for you today that was pretty easy to create with the ink refills used. The drying time is the only thing that makes this project time-consuming. I created a separate water color panel and then stamped the leaf images on top of the dried ink. Of course I can't create a card without a little bling so I sprinkled the card front with some sequins. Take a look at the project below and let me know what you think.

Supplies:
.

Additional supplies: Fun foam, ATG, clear blocks, Strathmore Watercolor paper,  water and a paintbrush.

  1. Create a card base from Perfect Plum card stock to measures 5 ½” x 8 ½”and score at 4 ¼”. Make it a top fold card.
  2. Cut a piece of Watercolor paper and ink the top portion with Crushed Curry ink and all the edges with Pear Pizzazz ink. Splatter the whole panel with Pear Pizzazz and Perfect Plum ink using a paintbrush and water.
  3. Cut a piece of Perfect Plum card stock that measures ¾” x 5 ¼” and adhere to the watercolor panel about a 1/3” of the way up front the bottom of the card base. Next, cut a ½” x 5 ¼” strip from the scrap of watercolor paper, stamp the sentiment with Pear Pizzazz ink and adhere centered to the Perfect Plum strip.
  4. Create a panel (big enough to stamp 4 leaves on) of water-color on watercolor paper using Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Perfect Plum and Pear Pizzazz inks. Let dry and then stamp leaves onto the panel with Memento Tuxedo black ink and then die-cut with coordinating framelits.
  5. Pop one leaf up with foam tape and tie a bow with linen thread and adhere to the bottom of the leaf and then adhere to the card front on the left side of the focal. Adhere the whole watercolor panel to the card base.
  6. Sprinkle with gold sequins.

The inside of the card was left blank for a personal message.

I hope you have enjoyed today's project and will check back often for more inspiration. Thank you for visiting.

Here Comes The Ice Cream Man- layout

Hello and welcome to today's post. I have a layout share that features the Echo Park Playground collection and the Heidi Swapp Project Life kit along with some exclusive alphas from the June Hip Kit. This layout was hard to put together for the challenge over at Sketches in Thyme (#205) but loved the collection I chose for the photos I was using. I had taken my son over to the mall to go to the indoor playground and while waiting for it to open he spotted the powered ice cream truck that made noise. Of course Michael just had to ride and he looks like he's really enjoying it. Take a look at the project below and let me know what you think. . Supplies used: Echo Park Playground collection, June (main) Hip Kit alphas, Heidi Swapp Project Life kit (the stars), Cherry on Top DSP (SU), Summer Starfruit cardstock for the background(SU), ATG tape runner and Mini glue dots. I hope you have enjoyed today's project and will check back often for more inspiration. Tha...
