Happy Father's Day

Hello and happy Sunday to you all. I hope the weekend provided much needed rest and lots of fun in the sun. Today I wanted to share with you a card for the men in our lives. This one came together pretty quickly and was pretty simple to create. All of the papers used are Stampin' Up and the image used is from Close to My Heart. There's a little heat embossing on the sentiment and of course I had to pop everything up just a little bit for some dimension. Take a look at the project below and let me know what you think.
.

1. Start by creating a card base that measures 5 1/2” x 8 ½” and score it at 4 1/4”.
.

2. Cut a piece Perfectly Artistic DSP to 4” x 5 ¼”. Adhere the DSP to the card base using ATG tape runner.
.

3. Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock to about 3 ½” x 3 ½” and then cut another piece of the Perfectly Artisitic DSP slightly smaller. Stamp the image directly onto the DSP using Memento Tuxedo black ink and adhere these 2 pieces together using ATG tape runner and then adhere to the card base using 3M Scotch foam tape.
.

4. Prep a scrap piece of Basic Black card stock with an embossing bag, stamp the Happy Father’s Day sentiment in VersaMark ink and then heat set. Pop the sentiment up using 3M Scotch foam tape and adhere to the bottom of the card front.
.
For the inside of the card I simply used a piece of the DSP from the front and left it blank for a personal message.

Additional supplies used: #D1609- Seaside Greetings Occasions (CTMH), ATG tape runner, Clear blocks, Scotch 3M foam tape, Embossing bag, heat tool.

I hope you have enjoyed today's project and will check back often for more inspiration. Thank you for visiting.

Graceful Garden friendship card

Here's my second card for the weekend. I just can't stop with the butterflies and I wanted to feature the ink colors in a clean and simple card. Sequins just had to be added for a little sparkle. The colors I used will be retiring soon so if you like them go and grab then while you can. I hope you'll take a look at the project below and let me know what you think. Supplies:
