Hello and welcome to the blog post for today. I want to share with you a card I created for a challenge that can be used as a Father's day card. The new Emerald Envy DSP from the Playful Palette DSP (Available June 1st in my online store) is my new favorite green. I love the dots all over this piece!
I die cut a circle out of the DSP to create a spot for the focal image. The image was stamped in Delightful Dijon and the DSP was then wrapped with Linen thread and tied into a knot. The DSP was adhered to the card base.
A scrap piece of Whisper White card stock was used to stamp the sentiment in Delightful Dijon and then sprinkled with clear embossing powder and heat set. One of the hats from the focal image was stamped in the corner using the same ink color. Adhere the sentiment strip directly to the DSP.
For the inside of the card I cut a strip of the DSP from the front and stamped Happy Father's Day sentiment using Delightful Dijon ink.
Please take a look at the project below and let me know what you think.
.
.
Additional supplies: ATG tape runner, Embossing bag, Heat tool.
I hope you have enjoyed today's project and will check back often for more inspiration. Thank you for visiting.
