Friend card

Today I have a card that was inspired by one I saw in a book and now don't remember the Author's name.  The colors are masculine but can be changed to give a more feminine feel.  There's some die cutting, stitching, and distressing involved.

Paper: Recollections- Brown card stock, White card stock; Misc.- Maroon card stock; My Minds Eye  “Stella and Rose” Mabel papers (6x6)
Inks: Ranger- Walnut Stain Distress ink
Fibers: Tan sewing thread
Other: Nicole- Glittered Letter stickers; Spellbinders Nestabilities square swatches dies

 Instructions:

1.       Cut a piece of Recollections brown card stock to 5 ½’x 8 ½” and score at 4 ¼”.
2.       Cut a piece of Recollections white card stock and using the ink blending tool and Walnut Stain distress ink, ink the edges and adhere to the front of the card base.
3.       Take the pattern paper and using the ink blending tool and Walnut Stain distress ink, ink the edges and cut that down to fit on top of the white card stock and adhere using ATG.
4.       Cut 2 narrow strips of maroon card stock and using a paper piercing tool, poke holes along the strips and then use the tan sewing thread, backstitch along the maroon strip and adhere to the card front at 2 different angles.
5.       Die cut 2 medium square swatches (1 in white card stock and 1 in maroon card stock).  Ink the white card stock with Walnut stain and adhere to the left with a point on the top and then adhere the maroon piece as a square. Position the glittered letters to spell friend on top of the maroon card stock.
For the inside of the card cut a 5 ¼”x 4” piece of white card stock and adhere.

I hope you have enjoyed this project and please check back often for inspiration.

Hang Your Stocking Christmas card 7-28-19

Hello crafters and welcome to some Christmas inspiration on the blog today. I am in the process of using up my stash and making as many cards as possible before the hustle bustle of the season begins. The card for today features the Hang Your Stocking stamp set and Festive Farmhouse DSP (designer series paper). I stamped the stocking and the sentiment using Cherry Cobbler ink and then stamped the snowflakes with VersaMark ink and heat set with some silver embossing powder. I love how this card came out and more inspiration is on the way. Take a look at the project below and please let me know what you think. Supplies used: . I also popped up the focal image using Scotch 3M Foam tape. I hope you have enjoyed today's project and will check back often for more inspiration. Thank you for visiting.

Here's my second card for the weekend. I just can't stop with the butterflies and I wanted to feature the ink colors in a clean and simple card. Sequins just had to be added for a little sparkle. The colors I used will be retiring soon so if you like them go and grab then while you can. I hope you'll take a look at the project below and let me know what you think. Supplies:
