Star of Light card

Hello everyone and I hope this post finds you all well.  I'm getting back into the swing of things and have created a CAS card for a September challenge for a group I'm in.  I love the simplicity of this card with the heat embossed sentiment and image.  A little sponging around the focal image brings out the embossing and then the addition of the patterned paper pulls everything together.

Supplies:

Additional supplies: MISTI, clear blocks, heat tool, ATG.

  1. Create a card base from Thick Whisper White card stock to measures 5 ½” x 8 ½” and score at 4 ¼”.
  1. Cut a piece of Be Merry DSP to measure 4 ¼” x 2 ¾” and adhere to the bottom of the card base.
  1. On a separate piece of scrap Whisper White card stock, stamp a star in Versa Mark ink, sprinkle with Silver embossing powder and heat set. Let cool and then die-cut with a circle framelit and ink the edges with a dauber and Cherry Cobbler ink.
  1. Stamp the sentiment in the upper right corner using Versa Mark ink and then stamp the star cluster to the left of the focal image (use for placement). Sprinkle with Silver embossing powder and heat set.
  1. Adhere the image onto the card base using your favorite adhesive.
For the inside of the card stamp another sentiment and groups of the star clusters using Versa Mark ink. Sprinkle with the silver embossing powder and heat set.

I am in the process of using up my stash and making as many cards as possible before the hustle bustle of the season begins. Graceful Garden friendship card

Here's my second card for the weekend. I just can't stop with the butterflies and I wanted to feature the ink colors in a clean and simple card. Sequins just had to be added for a little sparkle. Party Pandas Valentine

Hello and welcome to the post for today. I'm still working on my Valentine cards and the one I want to share with you today is for my 5 year old son. I tried to keep this one very masculine but fun and that little panda just makes me smile when I look at it. Take a look at the project below and let me know what you think. Supplies: . Additional supplies: Darice stripe embossing folder, ATG, Xacto corner rounder, Inkadinkado #95284 Happy Everything stamp set. 1. Create a card base from Real Red card stock to measure 5 ½’ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”. 2. Cut a piece of Basic Black card stock to measure 4” x 5 ¼”. Run this panel through the stripes embossing folder using the Big Shot machine, round the corners and set aside. 3. Next cut a piece of DSP to measure 4” x 4”, cut diagonally and then adhere to the embossed Basic Black panel. Adhere the panel to the card front using favorite adhesive. 4.
