You're Just Lovely card

Hello and welcome to today's post. Summer is almost over so I wanted to create a colorful and flowery card before it's time to work on Halloween cards and gifts. This card was created for a Stampin' Up Sept Challenge for a group I'm in and we were instructed to use circles but instead I used flowers. I just love the colors in the DSP that are so light and airy. Take a look at the project below and let me know what you think.

Supplies:
.

Additional supplies: ATG, clear blocks, powder bag, heat tool.

  • Create a card base from Night of Navy card stock to measures 4 ¼” x 11” and score at 5 ½”.

  • Cut a Whisper White panel to measure 4” x 5 ¼” and then cut a strip of DSP to ¾” x 5 ¼” and then one to measure 1 ¼” x 5 ¼”. Adhere the strips on the left side of the panel, leaving a tiny strip of the white panel between each. Adhere the whole panel to the card base.

  • Next I stamped the three flowers with Versa Mark ink and sprinkled with clear embossing powder and then heat set. I then used a sponge dauber for the center of the flower with Lemon Lime Twist ink and another for the outside of the flower using soft sky ink. Die-cut the flowers with the coordinating thinlits.

  • Stamp the 2 leaves using the Lemon Lime Twist ink and die-cut using the coordinating thinlits and the Big Shot machine (or your favorite die-cutting machine). Place one leaf in the upper left of the card front using Mini-Glue dots and then place two of the flowers over the stem and DSP. Pop the other flower up with a Dimensional and place the other leaf in the bottom right under the flower.

  • Stamp the sentiment in the bottom left corner of the card front.

  • The inside of the card was left blank for a personal message.

I hope you have enjoyed today's project and will check back often for more inspiration. Thank you for visiting.

    Christmas Blessings card

Happy Sunday. I know it's been about a week since I've posted but I've been a bit under the weather and sometimes you're just not up to being creative when you're not feeling well, so I apologize for that. I do have a Christmas card I would like to share with you today and it using some of the new items that will be coming in the 2016 Holiday catalog beginning September 1st. Here Comes The Ice Cream Man- layout

Hello and welcome to today's post. I have a layout share that features the Echo Park Playground collection and the Heidi Swapp Project Life kit along with some exclusive alphas from the June Hip Kit. This layout was hard to put together for the challenge over at Sketches in Thyme (#205) but loved the collection I chose for the photos I was using. I had taken my son over to the mall to go to the indoor playground and while waiting for it to open he spotted the powered ice cream truck that made noise. Of course Michael just had to ride and he looks like he's really enjoying it. Take a look at the project below and let me know what you think. . Supplies used: Echo Park Playground collection, June (main) Hip Kit alphas, Heidi Swapp Project Life kit (the stars), Cherry on Top DSP (SU), Summer Starfruit cardstock for the background(SU), ATG tape runner and Mini glue dots. I hope you have enjoyed today's project and will check back often for more inspiration. Tha...
