Stampin' Up Rose Wonder- Beautiful Blessing card

Good evening. I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far. I've been a bit under the weather this week and haven't really been up to creating but today I have a card made with a rose and colored in using Spectrum Noir markers. There is a little sponging and of course some gold heat embossing which happens to be my favorite. I started by making an A2 sized card base out of Melon Mambo card stock and set that aside. I then cut a piece of HOTP (4217) Silky Papers to 4" x 5 1/4" and rubbed the whole panel with an embossing bag. I stamped the rose image in Versamark ink, sprinkled the image with SU Gold embossing powder and heat set it. Stamp the sentiment the same way and heat set. Using the Spectrum Noir markers, color the image. For the rose i used BP2 and BP6 and for the leaves I used DG2 and DG4. I'm still practicing with these markers but for simple shading I think it turned out quite nice. Spinge the edges of the focal panel with Ranger Waln...

Hats off to you- Father's Day card

Hello and welcome to the blog post for today. I want to share with you a card I created for a challenge that can be used as a Father's day card. The new Emerald Envy DSP from the Playful Palette DSP (Available June 1st in my online store) is my new favorite green. I love the dots all over this piece! I die cut a circle out of the DSP to create a spot for the focal image. The image was stamped in Delightful Dijon and the DSP was then wrapped with Linen thread and tied into a knot. The DSP was adhered to the card base. A scrap piece of Whisper White card stock was used to stamp the sentiment in Delightful Dijon and then sprinkled with clear embossing powder and heat set. One of the hats from the focal image was stamped in the corner using the same ink color. Adhere the sentiment strip directly to the DSP. For the inside of the card I cut a strip of the DSP from the front and stamped Happy Father's Day sentiment using Delightful Dijon ink. Please take a look at ...

Just us (Layout)- April 2016 Hip Kit

Hello and Happy National Scrapbooking month. I'm excited to share a layout I made using the April 2016 Hip Kit and some Carpe Diem enamel dots from the February Hip Kit. I didn't want to go overboard on the embellishing but I did want to throw in a couple of flowers and some feminine colors for a change. This kit was so much fun to work with and I love the main kit because it comes with so much to use. I did add a stamp and some inks from my stash which I will list below. Take a look at the project below and let me know what you think. . A close up of the elements on the page. Additional supplies: .
