Celebrate Amazing You- Mother's Day card

Hello everyone and welcome to the next card creation in Mother's Day cards. I love the DSP and the different layers used to create this one. The Lotus Blossom is a 3 step stamp so on the last layer I thought I'd add a little gold heat embossing to bring out the gold in the patterned paper. There were no additional embellishments used as I wanted to showcase the papers. Take a look at the project below and let me know what you think.

Additional supplies: Fun Foam, ATG, heat tool, powder bag

1. Create a card base from Thick Whisper White card stock to measure 5 ½’ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.

2. Cut a piece of Smoky Slate card stock to measure 4’ x 5 ¼” and adhere it to the card base. Cut a piece of the DSP ¼” smaller than the previous layer and adhere to the card front.

3. Cut a piece of Smoky Slate card stock that measures 2 ¾” x 4 ¾” and then cut a slightly smaller piece of the back side of the previous DSP and adhere these layers together. Adhere to the right on the card front.

4. Die cut a scalloped oval from Smoky Slate card stock and then cut a plain oval from Whisper White card stock. On the Whisper White piece stamp the Lotus Blossom using Powder Pink ink for the solid layer, Melon Mambo for the detailed layer and then wipe the image with a powder tool and stamp with Versa Mark ink and heat set with Gold embossing powder. Stamp the stem using Old Olive ink

5. Pop the focal image up with Fun Foam and adhere, centered on the previously adhered layer.

6. Stamp the sentiments onto scraps of Smoky Slate card stock with Versa Mark ink and then heat set with White embossing powder. Cut down to size and adhere to the focal panel as shown.

I hope you have enjoyed today's project and will check back often for more inspiration. Thank you for visiting.

The colors I used will be retiring soon so if you like them go and grab then while you can. I hope you'll take a look at the project below and let me know what you think. Supplies:
