Stampin' Up- Reason for the Season

Hello and welcome to another post. Today kicks off my series called "Stepped Up". I make one card in a clean and simple fashion and then I make the same card that's more intricate in detail. This series will be posted on Wednesday but not sure how long it will run. Today I have a Christmas card project using some of the products from the New Holiday catalog that went live yesterday. Take a look at the projects below and let me know what you think.
For the first card I started with stamping the image on a piece of Whisper White card stock using Mossy Meadow ink and then I colored the image using a water brush and the ink colors Cucumber Crush and Real Red. I stamped the sentiment in stamped-off Mossy Meadow ink to the right of the image. Next, I adhered a piece of DSP to the bottom portion of the Whisper White panel and inked the edges in Mossy Meadow. What do you think?

Now take a look at the Stepped Up version.
On this card I heat-embossed the image with VersaMark ink and sprinkled with Gold embossing powder. I still used the water brush to color the image in and I stamped the sentiment the same way I did on the first card, then added some Woven Stitched ribbon to separate the panels. Isn't that fun?

Here are the supplies used on both cards.

The colors I used will be retiring soon so if you like them go and grab then while you can. I hope you'll take a look at the project below and let me know what you think. Supplies:
