Happy Mother's Day

Hello and welcome to another Mother's Day card post.  I'm still on a kick of using up old products but throwing in some new products as well.  I also added some rhinestones to the center of the flowers for a little bling.  Take a look at the project below and let me know what you think. Created by Tiffany Horton-Allen Images Stampin' Up© www.creativemeasuresbytiffany.blogspot.com  Supplies: . Additional supplies: ATG, clear blocks, Fun Foam The A2 card base was made using Whisper White card stock and then a panel of Crushed Curry card stock was adhered to the card front.  On top of the Crushed Curry card stock adhere a slightly smaller panel of the DSP. For the center panels I cut a piece of Crushed Curry card stock and then a slightly smaller piece of DSP and adhered the two together and centered on the card front.  Next I die-cut a scalloped oval from Crushed Curry and a plain oval from Whisper White card stock....

Celebrate Amazing You- Mother's Day card

Hello everyone and welcome to the next card creation in Mother's Day cards. I love the DSP and the different layers used to create this one. The Lotus Blossom is a 3 step stamp so on the last layer I thought I'd add a little gold heat embossing to bring out the gold in the patterned paper. There were no additional embellishments used as I wanted to showcase the papers. Take a look at the project below and let me know what you think. . Supplies: . Additional supplies: Fun Foam, ATG, heat tool, powder bag 1. Create a card base from Thick Whisper White card stock to measure 5 ½’ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”. 2. Cut a piece of Smoky Slate card stock to measure 4’ x 5 ¼” and adhere it to the card base. Cut a piece of the DSP ¼” smaller than the previous layer and adhere to the card front. 3. Cut a piece of Smoky Slate card stock that measures 2 ¾” x 4 ¾” and then cut a slightly smaller piece of the back side of the previous DSP and adhere these layers together. Ad...

Celebrate You- Mother's Day card

Welcome to today's post featuring a Mother's Day card and a lot of retired/retiring products. Sometimes I find myself needing to use up all the old things in my stash and make it look just as fresh as when I first used them. Today's card uses the following retired or retiring products: Strawberry Slush card stock and ink, Celebrate Today stamp set, Crazy About you stamp set, Tranquil Tulips stamp set and Sweet Sugarplum ink. The other colors of inks used were Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz. I couldn't think of a way to pop up the stems so I popped up the flowers instead and like how it all came together. With Sympathy- card

Hello and welcome to the post for today. I have had to create another Sympathy card and for some reason I always gravitate towards soft brown colors for these types of cards. I used the Hero Arts Clings Antique Writing background stamp https://www.pinterest.com/pin/359091770260685212/  and also the Hero Arts "With Sympathy" stamp set (retired) for the sentiment. A little sponging and a little gold thread brings this card together. I created an A2 card base from SU Tip Top Taupe card stock.  I cut a panel of SU Basic Black card stock and adhered it to the card front.   I then cut a slightly smaller panel of Very Vanilla card stock, inked the edges and used the background stamp and Tip Top Taupe ink to stamp the image on this panel. I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of Tip Top Taupe card stock using Memento Tuxedo black ink, sponged the edges and then cut it down.  Using some Gold Metallic thread, I made a messy nest and then adhered the sentiment over th...
